The other evening I was out enjoying a humid lovely walk, as I often like to do in the summertime. Along the way I heard many sounds: crickets chirping, water trickling in a neighbor’s fountain, dogs barking (at me), friends chatting. None of them caught me as off guard as the sound I heard when I rounded the corner back onto my street… What did I hear? Music. How often does MUSIC catch a music therapist off guard? Ha! As I slowed down my walk, I could tell that the music was coming from a neighbor’s house where they appeared to be relaxing on their back deck with some friends. Now that’s the perfect summer day! Great weather, great friends, and great music.
