    Dr. Seuss BooksMusic and Reading?

Here at Noteable Progressions we have the privilege of working with a lot of little ones. When working on goals and objectives, I always love incorporating music with pre-academic and academic interventions that can carry over into what a child learns during their daily school day.  So below I’ve compiled a list of five of my favorite books to use in sessions.

    • Green Eggs and Ham
    • How the Grinch Stole Christmas
    • Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
    • One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
    • The Cat In The Hat

Sorry; I just love my Dr. Seuss, but I promise there are other books and reading material that I use as well.

Back to the topic at hand: Why books? Why reading? Why incorporate anything educational into sessions? In an upcoming blog post I’ll answer all those questions and discuss just how influential music can be on children learning and retaining information that they are presented within the classroom.

    Stay tuned…
